Hi guys! My name is Sasha Schuitema I am 20 years old and I live in Grand Rapids Michigan. I was adopted from Russia when I was 2 years old. I came over to the United States not knowing any English and speaking Russian, and I felt lost because I had no idea what was going on and I did not know how to process everything that was going on. Eventually I learned some English and I started getting closer with my family. I have been going to Resurrection Life Church since I was 4, and I actually got baptized when I was 8 at Reslife. I got re-baptized when I was 16, because this time I understood what being a follower of Christ was. Over the years I have gotten more involved and been on a few mission trips. I have gone to Guatemala, Nebraska, and Ohio. I have also been on many church retreats, and I have volunteered at kids camp with my church. Currently I intern in the 1st-5th grade department at church, volunteer at youth on Wednesdays, and volunteer at access (a young adult church service). Overall my life has been centered around Christ and I learned that God loves you for you.
